Cookie Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. 1MinEbook uses a small number of them: some are essential for the Service to work, and there is one optional category (analytics and advertising). In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the optional category is used only if you say yes; elsewhere it is on by default and you can switch it off anytime. We also count visits with DataFast, which uses no cookies (see section 3).

1. Essential cookies (always on)

These keep you signed in, keep your account secure and apply the right cookie rules for where you are. The Service can’t work without them, so they don’t require consent.

  • Region cookie (“ome_country”): the two-letter code of the country you’re visiting from, estimated from your IP address by our hosting provider, so we know whether to ask before using optional cookies. Expires after 1 day.
  • Session cookie (set by our authentication system, e.g. “auth_session”): keeps you signed in. Secure and HTTP-only, it lasts until you sign out or your session expires.
  • Sign-in security cookies: short-lived cookies used during “Continue with Google” and password reset to prevent forgery. Deleted within minutes.

2. Preference storage

We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage (“ome_cookie_consent”) so we don’t ask you on every visit. It contains only “granted” or “denied”.

4. Analytics and advertising cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, to understand which pages and features help people most, and the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, neither is loaded at all until you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. Elsewhere they are loaded by default, unless you have switched them off or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (see section 6).

  • _ga: distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_<ID>: keeps track of your session. Expires after 2 years.
  • _fbp (Meta Pixel): recognises your browser so Meta can measure our ads. Expires after 3 months.
  • _fbc (Meta Pixel): set when you arrive by clicking one of our Facebook or Instagram ads, to credit that ad. Expires after 3 months.

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation and don’t use it for advertising. Google’s handling of this data is described in Google’s own privacy policy.

Meta uses the Pixel data to measure and improve our ads and may link it to your Meta account, as described in Meta’s privacy policy. You can also manage your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

5. Third-party pages

When you check out, you’re taken to our payment provider’s secure checkout page (Dodo Payments), and when you sign in with Google you use Google’s sign-in page. Those services may set their own cookies under their own policies.

6. Changing your choice

  • Click “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page to change your choice. If you switch them off (“Essential only”), we stop loading Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel and remove their cookies.
  • Outside the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as switching them off, unless you choose “Accept”.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop you from signing in.
