1. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service.
- Give us accurate information and keep your login details secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- One free-credit bonus per person. Creating multiple accounts to collect free credits isn’t allowed.
2. Credits
The Service runs on credits. Generating outlines, chapters and covers, and exporting files, each use a set number of credits shown in the app and on our pricing page.
- New accounts receive 50 free credits once, after verifying their email address.
- Paid plans add a set number of credits each billing month. At each renewal, your balance resets to your plan’s monthly amount. Unused credits do not roll over.
- Changing plans sets your balance to the new plan’s credit amount.
- Credits have no cash value, can’t be transferred or sold, and expire if your account is closed.
- If a generation fails because of a problem on our side, the credits used are refunded to your balance automatically.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which may also apply its own terms and handle applicable sales taxes.
You can cancel anytime from Account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals and you won’t be charged again. Credits already in your account stay available to use, but no new monthly credits are added.
We may change prices for future billing periods. We’ll tell you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
4. Refunds
If you’re not happy with your first subscription payment, you can request a full refund within 7 days of that payment, as long as none of the credits from that payment have been used. Email support@laptopfoundr.com with your account email.
Apart from this, payments are non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods, renewals and unused credits, except where the law requires otherwise.
5. Your content and ownership
You own your ebooks. As between you and us, you own the inputs you provide and, to the fullest extent we can assign it, the content generated for you (“Output”). You may use, sell, publish and modify your Output for any lawful purpose, commercially or otherwise, without paying us royalties.
You give us a limited licence to host, process, store, display and transmit your content only as needed to provide and improve the Service. If you publish an ebook to the community, you also allow us to display it publicly until you unpublish it.
Copyright protection for AI-generated material varies by country and may be limited. Similar prompts can produce similar results for other users, so we can’t guarantee your Output is unique.
6. Your responsibility for what you publish
AI-generated content can contain mistakes, outdated information or content that resembles existing works. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and fact-checking your Output before you publish or sell it, and for following the rules of any platform you publish on (for example, Amazon KDP’s AI-content disclosure requirements).
Output is not professional advice. Don’t rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions without checking with a qualified professional.
