Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

1MinEbook is operated by Laptop Foundr Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use 1MinEbook’s website and app (the “Service”). We collect only what we need to run the Service, we never sell your personal information, and we don’t use your content to advertise to you.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.

Your content. The ideas, prompts and answers you give us, the notes, outlines and other material you add, and the ebooks we generate for you: outlines, chapters, covers and exported files. If you use dictation, your browser’s own speech recognition turns your speech into text, so no audio reaches our servers; in Chrome and some other browsers, that audio is processed by the browser’s maker (for example Google) under its own privacy policy.

Billing information. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. We receive your subscription status, plan and transaction records, but we never see or store your full card details.

Usage information. Your credit balance and history, and technical data such as browser type, device, IP address and pages visited, which we need to keep the Service secure and working.

Website analytics (cookie-free). We use DataFast, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand how people find and use our website. For every visitor it records the pages viewed, the site or campaign that sent you, your browser, device type and screen size, and actions such as signing up or starting a checkout. DataFast uses your IP address to estimate your country and city. It sets no cookies; see our Cookie Policy for the small amount of browser storage it uses. When you are signed in, we link these visits to your account (your account ID, name and email address) so we can see which pages and channels lead to sign-ups. When you start a checkout, an anonymous DataFast visitor ID is attached to it, and our payment provider shares the payment with DataFast, so we can see which channels lead to purchases.

Google Analytics. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, only if you accept analytics cookies; elsewhere it’s on by default and you can switch it off anytime. Google Analytics collects similar information about how you use our website, such as pages viewed and approximate location. See our Cookie Policy.

Advertising measurement. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, only if you accept cookies; elsewhere it’s on by default and you can switch it off anytime. The Meta Pixel (from Meta, which runs Facebook and Instagram) records the pages you visit and actions such as signing up, starting a checkout or completing a purchase, so we can measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may link this to your Meta account under its own privacy policy. See our Cookie Policy.

Communications. Messages you send to our support team.

2. How we use your information

  • To create your account, sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • To generate, store and export your ebooks.
  • To process subscriptions, manage credits and prevent abuse of free credits.
  • To send essential emails: verification, password reset, receipts and important service updates.
  • To send occasional tips and product news by email, using Kit. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link, and deleting your account unsubscribes you.
  • To understand and improve the Service, with cookie-free DataFast analytics and Google Analytics (in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, only with your consent).
  • To measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram (the Meta Pixel; in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, only with your consent).
  • To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your content to train our own AI models, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. How AI processing works

To write your ebook, the ideas, answers and notes you provide are sent to third-party AI model providers (such as OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter) through their business APIs. They process this content only to generate a response for 1MinEbook. Please don’t include sensitive personal information (for example health, financial or identity details about real people) in your prompts.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only what they need:

  • Payments: Dodo Payments (merchant of record for subscriptions).
  • Email delivery: Resend (verification, password reset and account emails).
  • Email newsletters: Kit (ConvertKit), which receives your email address and first name to send tips and product news.
  • AI generation: AI model providers such as OpenAI, Google and OpenRouter.
  • Sign-in: Google, if you choose “Continue with Google”.
  • Analytics: DataFast (cookie-free, for all visitors; when you are signed in, also your account ID, name and email, and the payments you make) and Google Analytics (in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, only if you consent; elsewhere unless you switch it off).
  • Advertising: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel (in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, only if you consent; elsewhere unless you switch it off).
  • Infrastructure: cloud hosting and managed database providers that store and serve the Service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy will continue to apply).

5. Ebooks you publish to the community

If you publish an ebook to the community, its title, cover, content and your display name become publicly visible to anyone, including people without an account. You can unpublish it at any time.

6. How long we keep information

We keep your account and ebooks for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information and content from our active systems, except where we must keep certain records (such as transaction records) to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.

  • Delete your account: from Account settings, or by emailing us.
  • Edit your details: from Account settings.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies: change your choice anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Where they are on by default, we also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as switching them off.
  • Anything else: email support@laptopfoundr.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

We handle personal information in line with applicable data protection laws, including the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) of Nepal and, where they apply to you, laws such as the EU/UK GDPR.

8. International transfers

Laptop Foundr Pvt. Ltd. is based in Kathmandu, Nepal, and our service providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and secure, HTTP-only session cookies. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

1MinEbook is not intended for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
