Short and specific wins
Lead magnets aren’t judged on length. They’re judged on how fast they deliver a win. A 5-chapter Quick Start Guide that solves one specific problem converts far better than a 100-page “ultimate guide” nobody finishes.
- Too broad: “The Complete Guide to Real Estate”
- Just right: “7 Mistakes First-Time Buyers Make (and How to Avoid Them)”
Build a bridge to your paid offer
Your lead magnet should solve the first problem and naturally reveal the next one, the one your paid product, service or coaching solves. End every chapter with a small action, and end the book with a clear next step.
Set up a simple landing page
- Headline: the promise of the ebook.
- Three bullet points: what they’ll learn.
- The cover image (people trust what they can see).
- One email field and one button.
Most email tools (Mailchimp, ConvertKit/Kit, MailerLite and others) can deliver your PDF automatically when someone subscribes.
Where to promote it
- Your social media bio link
- A pinned post explaining the problem it solves
- At the end of every blog post or YouTube video
- In your email signature
- As a bonus for attending a webinar or live session
The follow-up is where the money is
Send 3–5 short emails over the next two weeks: a welcome, a quick win, a story, and an invitation to your paid offer. The ebook earns attention; the follow-up turns it into revenue.
