1MinEbook vs Canva for Making an Ebook

The short answer

Canva is a design tool: it gives you beautiful ebook templates and an editor for every page, and its AI (Magic Write) helps with short passages. You still write the book. 1MinEbook writes the book: it plans the chapters, writes them, designs the cover and lays out every page for you.

When Canva fits better

• Your manuscript is finished and you want full creative control over a visually rich ebook.
• The book is mostly images, worksheets or printables.
• You already design in Canva and enjoy placing every element yourself.

When 1MinEbook fits better

• You haven't written the book yet, or don't want to.
• You want a text-led ebook (a guide, playbook or workbook) that's well structured and consistent from start to finish.
• You'd rather not lay out dozens of pages by hand.

Feature comparison

• Writing: Canva helps with short copy; 1MinEbook plans the outline and writes every chapter in one voice.
• Layout: in Canva you design each page; 1MinEbook lays out the whole book in one of four interior styles, with a contents page and styled chapter openers, tips and takeaways.
• Cover: Canva offers templates and AI cover tools you edit yourself; 1MinEbook designs a cover with your title, which you can regenerate or fine-tune.
• Files: Canva exports PDFs and images; 1MinEbook exports PDF, EPUB and DOCX, plus a 1,600 × 2,560 px cover image.
• EPUB for e-readers: if you want to sell on Apple Books or Kobo, you need a reflowable EPUB. 1MinEbook exports one from the same book.

Which should you choose?

Choose Canva when the design is the job and the words are done. Choose 1MinEbook when you need the words, the layout, the cover and the files in one go, and try it free first: the outline, a cover and the first chapter cost nothing.
